The 20th Century waltzed onto the cocktail scene in 1937, dreamed up by British bartender C.A. Tuck and immortalised in the Café Royal Cocktail Book by none other than William J. Tarling (“Who’s that”, you ask? Why, he was the head honcho of the United Kingdom Bartenders' Guild). Named in homage to the legendary 20th Century Limited train that thundered between New York and Chicago from 1902 to 1967, this drink is pure speed and style in a glass.

- 45ml gin
- 22ml Lillet Blanc (the old-school Kina Lillet)
- 15ml light Crème de Cacao
- 22ml fresh lemon juice
- Shake in an iced cocktail shaker.
- Strain into a cocktail glass and let it dazzle.
- Garnish with lemon twist because why not?
