FALLEN ANGEL COCKTAIL RECIPE - A DARING SIP FROM CELESTIAL HEIGHTS
Share
Enjoy a few extra golden hours outdoors this summer with a cocktail that deserves far more fame than it gets.Β
The Fallen Angel - a devilishly refreshing drop - first fluttered onto the scene in the 1920s, crafted by none other than Harry Craddock, the legendary head bartender at Londonβs Savoy Hotel, before earning its rightful place in his iconic 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book. Not bad pedigree for a drink that still flies under the radar.
For a modern Kiwi twist, we back Manuka & Lemon Premium Gin, in trusty 375ml and 750ml flasks, to put a little extra botanical gin zing in your wings.
- 75ml gin
- 40ml green Crème de Menthe or Blue Curacao
- 25ml fresh lemon or lime juice
- 1 dash (0.625ml) Angostura bitters
- 100ml lemonade
- Gently combine gin, CrΓ¨me de Menthe or Blue Curacao, fresh lemon or lime juice and Angostura bitters in a mixing glass. No need to get carried away; itβs not a pavlova.
- Pour into a chilled glass packed with ice.
- Top with lemonade and let the summer halo glow.
