GET AWESOME WITH SOME AUBURN – MEET THE ABBEY COCKTAIL

Behold, another gem from the legendary Harry Craddock, the Savoy Hotel’s head bartender and London’s cocktail scene leader. We’ve taken his creation, given it a GDC spin (view it here), and you, dear reader, are about to get schooled in style:
- 45ml Settler Premium Gin (available to buy online in 375ml and 750ml flasks - don’t be shy)
- Quarter of a regular-sized orange (squeezed)
- 1 dash (0.625ml) orange bitters
- 5 ice cubes
- Shake in a chilled shaker.
- Strain into a martini glass so chilled you gotta wake it up.
Feeling adventurous? Take the alternate route and really show off:
- 45ml Settler Premium Gin
- 22.5ml Lillet Blanc or Cocchi Americano (fancy? Yes. But worth it.)
- 22.5ml fresh orange juice
- 2 dashes (0.92ml - 1.25ml) orange bitters or Angostura bitters
- Shake in a chilled shaker with ice until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a cocktail cherry or sassy orange twist/wheel.
There you go, a drink with history and style. Sip slowly… or don’t.
