JUST GIN? THAT’D BE NEAT.

JUST GIN? THAT’D BE NEAT.

Drinking gin "neat" means serving it pure and undiluted with no ice or  mixers. It’s just gin - poured straight from the flask or bottle into a glass.

It's the simplest way to enjoy gin and the boldest way to understand it. Neat sipping lets every botanical stand up and show off, exactly as the distiller intended.

The likely ori-gins of the term “neat” are the Old English word “niot" which means "not wet” (no added water), and/or the Latin word “nitidus” meaning "clean", "pure" or "shining"

“Yeah, but why drink gin neat?” you ask? Well…

  • Taste and flavour: Neat gin puts the spotlight on nuance. You’ll pick up subtle botanicals, layered aromas and the full, undiluted flavour profile letting you experience the craft behind the flask.
  • No additives: Mixers bring sugar, preservatives and other party-crashers. Neat gin keeps things clean, which can be a win for your body as well as your palate.
  • You’re the boss: Sipping neat means total control. Every pour is intentional, measured and exactly as strong as you want it, with no sneaky extra volume from tonic or mixer.

Here are some carefully-curated gins to start you on your neat-sipping odyssey and help you experience each gin’s unique character:

  • Tweed (375ml and 750ml flasks): A blend of old-world structure with new-world complexity. Expect smooth chamomile and floral elderflower lifted by crisp citrus notes of lemon peel.
  • Fireside (375ml and 750ml flasks): Smooth sandalwood, nutmeg, orange and malted barley bring a woodsy, smoky and classic vintage essence.
  • Pears of Paradise (375ml and 750ml flasks): Subtle, mellow and crafted with handpicked pears from our home orchards. Juicy fruit notes lead the palate, layered with the warm spice of grains of paradise and the classic piney brightness of juniper.
