THE AVIATION - LEAVE A CHIC TRAIL WITH THIS COCKTAIL

The Aviation; a sky-high classic dreamed up by Hugo Ensslin, head bartender at New York’s swanky Hotel Wallick. He first let the world in on this liquid magic in his 1916 Recipes for Mixed Drinks and, oh boy, it’s still taking tipplers on a joyride.

Give your tastebuds a test flight with GDC’s Manuka & Lemon Premium Gin, available in 375ml and 750ml flasks, and get set for lift-off. 

• 45ml gin
• 15ml Luxardo Maraschino
• 5ml fresh lemon juice
• 1 barspoon (5ml) Crème de Violette or Crème Yvette (optional but come on, live a little) 

1. Combine in a cocktail shaker.
2. Shake with cracked ice.
3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Sip slowly. This one’s got attitude and it knows you’ll notice.
