VESPER COCKTAIL RECIPE – SHAKEN (NOT STIRRED) & DANGEROUSLY SUAVE
Share
The Vesper - yeah, that iconic Bond cocktail - was actually dreamed up by Ivar Bryce, Ian Fleming’s mate, but got immortalised in the Casino Royale novel as James Bond’s signature sip. Reliable sources suggest the ideal time of day to knock one back is the same time that Sean Connery went to Wimbledon: “Tennish”. True story.
What’s no joke is what’s inside GDC’s gin gift box, The Solstice Selection. Containing Frostbite, Fireside and Apricity 375ml flasks, it’s basically a VIP pass to sip in style as the chill starts creeping in.
- 45ml gin
- 15ml vodka
- 7.5ml Lillet Blanc (yep, the one formerly known as Kina Lillet)
- Shake (don’t stir) well in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Strain into a glass so chilled it could give you goosebumps.
- Garnish with lemon zest and let the magic happen.
