Bourbon Barrel Nightcap (Serves 2)
A warming, after dinner hug in a mug

Ingredients

• 150ml Bourbon Barrel Premium Gin Liqueur
• 200ml milk (or half milk/half cream for extra indulgence)
• 2 tsp brown sugar or demerara
• ½ tsp vanilla essence
• A small pinch of cinnamon (optional but ideal)
• A small pinch of nutmeg
• 1 thin slice of butter (½ tsp per serving — optional, but adds a gorgeous silky finish)

Method

1. Warm milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small pot over low heat until steaming—do not boil.
2. Add the Bourbon Barrel Premium Gin Liqueur and stir gently until just warmed through.
3. Add the tiny slice of butter and whisk to melt for a velvety texture.
4. Pour into two heatproof mugs.
5. Top with a light dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg if you like.
   

The oak, bourbon, and demerara notes melt into the warm milk, creating a silky, fireside worthy nightcap with the comfort of a hot toddy and the indulgence of a dessert drink.
